Meet the hybrid engineer.

Cisco was launching updated certifications. I turned the launch into a career story and a live #CiscoChat for network engineers worldwide.

The insight

Engineers don't care about a certification. They care about where their career is going.

The industry was moving from manual network work to software-defined everything. Instead of leading with the product, I named the shift and gave readers a role to grow into: the hybrid engineer.

My process

How I did it

  1. Lead with the reader

Framed the story around the engineer's future, not Cisco's catalog.

  2. Name the trend

Defined the hybrid engineer in plain language so readers could see themselves in it.

  3. Make it easy to show up

One place for every detail: speakers, channels, and a schedule across four time zones.

  4. Connect to the offer

Closed by linking new skills to the updated certifications as the next step.
